Rose Marie Giddings

Rose Marie Giddings, 61, of Duluth, went home to be with the Lord on November 26, 2021.

Rose was born in Grand Marais, MN on February 4, 1960. She attended Cook County High School and went on to earn a certification in nursing.

Rose was an excellent homemaker, wife and mother. She also worked as a CNA, many years at Adolph General Store, and for the past 15 years she managed Mike’s Recycling Services – the business she owned with her husband.

Rose enjoyed fishing, campfires by the lake, Bible studies with friends, and destination vacations. What she loved most was her family and spending time with them.

Rose was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Bert and Kathryn Hart; paternal grandmother, Florence Manninen; and great-granddaughter, Zeanna.

Rose is survived by her husband, Mike Giddings; children, Nicole (Chris) Hayden, Kimberly Finnegan and Michael (Aili) Giddings; grandchildren, Miles, Cynthia, Michelle, Zoe, Angeline (Lelu), Patrick, Arianna, Koi, Michael, Mila, Kaitlyn and Hannah; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Ava, Zara, Zilas, Zayla, Kenyon, Novah, Sidney, Noah, Sierra, Ethan and Azariah; parents, Jacob and Barbara Hatanpaa; siblings, Ray Hatanpaa, Rick Hatanpaa, Ed Hatanpaa, Jeanne Conaway, Sarah Smith, Esther Hedquist and Abe Hatanpaa; and twenty-four beloved nieces and nephews..

Rose will be remembered for her all-encompassing kindness, generosity, unending humor, and evident love of Christ that flowed from her life.

A Celebration of Rose’s Life will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, December 4th at Hermantown Community Church, 4880 Maple Grove Rd.
