Robert Sotzen Obituary

Robert "Swede" L. Sotzen age 84 passed away on April 24, 2019 at his home in Alborn, MN.
He was born on January 26, 1935 in Fort Dodge, Iowa to Dorance and Julia (Ulicki) Sotzen. Robert served in Korea as a frogman in the US Navy on the USS Ulvert M. Moore DE 442.
His greatest treasures were his grandchildren whom he loved deeply. He was proud of his service in the Korean War and always enjoyed exchanging stories and experiences with other veterans during his many trips made to VA hospitals and clinics. Bob loved his simple little place in the woods of Northern Minnesota where he found joy in caring for his yard, woodworking/carving, building things out in his workshop and visiting with friends and neighbors.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Donald Sotzen and sister Karen Sotzen.
Robert is survived by his daughters Jeannie(Jack) Hadcock of Conrad, MT, Angie Hooper of Fontana, CA, brother Richard Sotzen, sister Janet Dencklau, grandsons Christopher Hooper, Daniel and David Hadcock and one great-grandson Tidus Cox (Hadcock).
