Patrick Edward Abrahamson, 51, of Duluth, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Friday, June 26, 2020 in Essentia Health St Mary's Medical Center.
Pat was born on October 2, 1968 to Edward and Grace Abrahamson. He grew up in Hermantown and graduated from Hermantown High School in 1987. He enlisted in the Army and served a total of 12 years, leaving as a Gulf War Veteran. He worked at Curtis Oil for 28 years before working for St Louis County Teamsters Local 320 as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic. He was an avid sports fan and loved all Minnesota sports, especially the Vikings. He enjoyed working out in his garage, riding his motorcycle, bowling, but especially spending time with his grandchildren. He lived every day following and finding comfort in God's word and sharing it with others. He was always there for anyone in their time of need whether it was to do maintenance repairs, or share his words of faith during despair.
Pat was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Marjorie Batting and Alex Youngs; paternal grandparents, Victoria and Edward Abrahamson; and special aunts, uncle, and cousin.
Pat is survived by his life partner, Amy; daughters, Alexa and Marissa Abrahamson; grandchildren, Audrey and Leo Mickelson; parents, Edward and Grace Abrahamson; sisters, Robin Berntsen, Deborah+ Abrahamson, Melissa Abrahamson, Kelly (Josh) Golen, and Carol (Sam) Golen; 7 nieces; 6 nephews; and countless friends.
