Michael Beach Obituary

Michael James Beach, 61, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 16, 2021.

Born December 3, 1959 to James and Winifred Beach, and raised in Akron, OH, he was brought up in a bible believing house. He graduated Ellet High School 1978. After attending The University of Akron in 1983 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music, he went on to work in Stillwater, OK for Stillwater Kicker Speakers and Mitchell Manufacturing.

Michael had a devoted love for the word of God, which he lived by, caring deeply for his friends and family as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, brother, and friend.

His compassion and devotion are what drove his love of ministry and music, playing worship for church and proclaiming the name of Jesus to all people, as well as living out the love of Christ in all that he did.

"His heart was full of music to sing to the Lord," remembers his wife, Mary.

In 1987, Michael returned to school at Victory Christian Bible School in Stillwater, OK. While attending, Michael taught Old Testament Survey and Praise & Worship.

Michael and Mary met through ministry work at Victory Christian Center, where he led praise and worship services. Their first date was Valentine’s Day 1990, and he proposed that March. They were married June 30, 1990 in Stillwater, OK. They continued in ministry through music and evangelism, ministering through word, prayer and music alongside one another. Michael and Mary moved to North Myrtle Beach, SC in 1991, where they served in the ministry for 14 years. Michael then went on to attend and graduate AFCM International Bible School. Michael and his wife also went on a missions trip to Peru with their church.

Following his ministry work, Michael was ordained in 2000 by the Association of Faith Churches and Ministers in South Carolina while having attended and graduated AFCM International Bible School in 2004.

In 2006, Michael and Mary moved to Minnesota, where he worked at Kolar Chevrolet in Hermantown.

Michael’s love for the Lord drove his love for people. He served his family with unconditional love and others knew he was full of the spirit of God just by being around him. He shared his love of music with his grandchildren any opportunity he could. Michael also greatly enjoyed the work he did at Kolar and the people that he was in community with everyday.

In addition to his wife Mary, Michael is survived by his daughter, Kim (John) Bryant, of Melrude, MN; son, Andrew Rep, of Cloquet, MN; daughter, Tara Vereen, of Little River, SC; grandchildren, Alan (Andrea) Bryant, Alyssa (Ethan) Prosser, Josiah, Dominic, Emily, Bailey, Gary, Jahdiel; great-grandchildren, Marley, Freja and Eleanor; mother, Winifred Beach of Esko, MN; and brother, Jeff Beach of Murphysboro, IL.

A gathering will take place at 2:00pm on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at Kolar Chevrolet in Hermantown, MN to celebrate the life and love of Michael Beach.
