Martin Harry White, 80, of Champlin passed away on Sunday, June 13, 2021. .
He was born March 21, 1941 in Laihia, Finland. At the age of 8, his family arrived in the United States and settled in Northern Minnesota. He graduated from Aurora MN in 1961. He attended Dunwoody Technical School and made his career as a machinist in the Twin Cities area. He served in the US Army from 1963-1965. On August 23, 1969, he married Karen J. Miller, and they continued to reside in the Twin Cities area. Harry loved the outdoors, especially fishing and enjoyed taking trips up the North Shore. Another passion of his was painting nature’s beauty on canvas and has sold some of his paintings.
Martin was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Karen Maule.
Martin is survived by his wife of 52 years, Karen; brothers, Paavo Kivisto and Steve White; and also many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held from 10:30 am to 1 pm on Saturday, June 19, at Evans Nordby Funeral Home in Osseo, MN.
Graveside service with Military Honors to be held at 11 am on Tuesday, June 29th at Sunrise Memorial Park Cemetery in Hermantown, MN, with interment immediately following.
