Marian Elizabeth Clark

Marian Elizabeth Clark, 87, of Saginaw, MN, passed peacefully into God’s presence on Thursday, July 22, 2021, surrounded by her loving family at Diamond Willow Assisted Living in Cloquet, MN.

Marian was born on January 14, 1934, in Cloquet, MN to Arvo and Irma Partanen. She went to school in Cloquet and was a life-long resident in the Saginaw-Cloquet area. She married Raymond Clark on August 4, 1951, in Cloquet, MN. She worked as a loving wife and mother and supported the family dairy farm and Clark Brothers Trucking business as bookkeeper and office manager. She also worked at the Ga-No-Me Store and Motel. She also had various jobs selling Sarah Coventry Jewelry and other various products. She and her family were members of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Saginaw, MN. She was an active lifetime member of the local garden club. She also enjoyed sewing, baking, painting and TriChem crafts. She also was an elected official for Associated Milk Producers Incorporated, representing northern Minnesota.

Marian was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Clark; daughter, Marie (Rich) Hopkins; daughter-in-law, Julie Clark; and son-in-law, Bradford Ward.

Marian is survived by her children, Allen (Lucy) Clark of Saginaw, Donn (Dory) Clark of Green Valley, AZ, Diane Ward of Eden Prairie, Michael (Louis) Clark of Mill Valley, CA, Darrell (Marg) Clark of Leesburg, FL, and Jeanette (Paul) Thornton of Mahtowa; grandchildren, Michael (Koko) Hopkins, Karen (Kenton) Rowe, Chris (Michelle) Clark, Jennifer Clark Rossing, Jessica (Pat) Palmi, Kristina (Brian) Lind, Isaiah Clark-Hexter, Joshua Clark-Hexter, Cody Joyal and Taylor (Hugo) Joyal-Roos; great-grandchildren, Tabatha Hopkins, Emily Kamarchevakul, Auston Rowe, Andreanna Rowe, Reid (Ryanna) Clark, Matthew (Natalee) Clark, Derek Rossing, Dominique Rossing, Kourtney Palmi, Kayden Palmi and Izzy Linder; great-great-grandson, Maverick Rossing.; brother and sister-in-law, John and Janis Partanen; and brother-in-law Robert (Nancy) Clark.

Visitation to be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 29, 2021, at Sunrise Funeral Home, 4798 Miller Trunk Hwy, with Memorial Service to follow at 11:00 AM. Interment at Sunrise Memorial Park Cemetery.
