Lola Frances (Knorr) Schwarz was born in Iowa on April 4th, 1930, and left this life to meet her Lord September 14th, 2021.
Lola grew up on a farm in Lime Creek, MN, with eleven siblings. She worked as a bookkeeper in the Fulda Creamery where met her husband, Orville Schwarz, whom she married December 25, 1949.
After living in Fulda for five years together, Orville and Lola lived in Alborn where Orville was a Ranger for the Department of Natural Resources for 4 ½ years before Orville’s work took him to Orr, MN, where they raised their three children. Orville passed away May 8, 2005, and Lola eventually moved to the Pines in Duluth to be surrounded by her family.
Lola worked as bookkeeper for many organizations in and around Orr. She also worked as a fire tower lookout, spending many of her summers in towers surrounding Orr watching for fires.
She was a den mother for Cub Scouts, an artist who loved to sew and embroider, she loved to travel, she was a fantastic storyteller, a great friend to many, and above all, she was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Lola leaves behind her children, Terri (Schwarz) and Rick Popovich, Julie (Schwarz) and Wayne Morgan, and Jim and Pauline Schwarz; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren who were the light of her life. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and friends.
