Lindsay Joy (Ellis) Lofald

Lindsay Joy (Ellis) Lofald of Saginaw, MN, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on March 12, 2021, she was 38 years old.

Lindsay was born in Hibbing, MN to Bill and Joyce (Soderlund) Ellis on August 18th, 1982. She went to Duluth Central High School and graduated in 2002. After high school, she went to Lake Superior College and earned her Associate's degree in restaurant management. She was the general manager at Hardee's, where she met her future husband, Jacob.

Lindsay and Jacob were married on April 19th, 2008. They have 3 children: Ryleigh, Bayleigh, and Oliver. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, daughter-in-law, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed doing everything with her family. She would provide home cooked meals, home-schooled their three children and enjoyed crafting. Lindsay loved caring for their animals, especially her chickens.

Lindsay was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents; her unborn child, Casey E. Lofald; and uncle, Ed Anderson.

Lindsay is survived by her husband, Jacob Lofald; children, Ryleigh, Bayleigh and Oliver; parents, Bill and Joyce Ellis; siblings, Kelly (Don) Johnson, Jacob (Brenna) Ellis, and Matthew (Rhonda) Ellis; in-laws, Dale and Debbie Lofald; Jonas (Anni) Peeck; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the first responders and emergency staff at Essentia Health.

Visitation will be at 1pm on Friday, March 19th at Mount of Olives Baptist Church, 1500 Swan Lake Rd, with funeral service to follow at 2pm. Interment in St. John’s Cemetery in Saginaw, MN. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
