Linda Marlene Rudeck, 74, of Duluth, MN, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sept. 22, 2021.
She was born on September 1, 1947 to George and Helen Olsen, on the same floor as she passed, at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth. She grew up in Grand Marais, MN, where she learned to swim in the frigid waters of Lake Superior. She graduated from East High School where she played the clarinet in the marching band.
Linda earned her degree in accounting from DBU and worked in the famous Congdon family's business office for many years before its closing. She put her skills to good use later as well helping family and friends with many accounting or finance needs.
She liked bowling, gardening, camping, fishing, and feeding the birds but was limited in her later years due to her medical issues. Linda was so much more than a wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and confidante. She was a good listener and was always open-minded and non-judgmental. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and anyone lucky enough to have known her.
Linda is survived by her husband of 17 years, Allan Rudeck; daughter, Deanne (Jim) Prisk; son, Ronald (Susan) Laliberte Jr.; grandchildren, Alexander, Garrett and Dawson Prisk, Bryce Laliberte and Amelia (Jordan) Blevins; brother, Larry (Marybeth) Olsen; and sister, Carol (Jeffrey) Thompson. As well as her husband's children, Allan (Roxanne) Rudeck Jr. and Donald Rudeck; and grandchildren, Hannah, Macaela and Erica Rudeck.
Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, Oct. 15th at Sunrise Funeral Home, 4798 Miller Trunk Hwy. Visitation will be at 2:00 PM with a short service to follow at 3:00 PM. Please feel free to share a nice story about Linda during our service.
