Leonard “Len” F. Pritchett, 88, of Saginaw, MN, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2021, at home with his loving family by his side. He was born November 9, 1933, to Eldon and Pearl Pritchett.
Leonard grew up in the Twig, MN area and attended the Proctor Public schools. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and sailed on the U.S.S. John W. Thomason during the Korean War. He worked at Arrowhead Concrete until he became an Ironworker/ Welder by trade and was a proud member of Ironworkers Union Local #563. He helped to construct many Duluth area buildings along with working on the Bong and Aerial Lift Bridges. He was a true outdoorsman, an avid hunter, and fisherman. He enjoyed watching and playing all sports. He was a member of the Proctor Jack Meade Gun Club, Wrinkled Riders ATV Club & VFW.
Leonard was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, LeRoy, Leslie and Lloyd; and sister, Rethel Hanson.
Leonard is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Joanne Pritchett; daughters, Pam (Mike) Ryan, of Longmont, CO, and Cindy (Kevin) Donley, of Duluth, MN; son, Eric Pritchett, of Hermantown, MN; grandchildren, Adam (Jennifer), Andrew (Kelsey), Alec (Lindsey) Ryan, Tara (Ryan), Sean, and Jasmin Donley; great-grandchildren, Madelyn, Kayleigh, Ivry, Brooke, Weston, Jace, William, Jade and Sonya; and sister, Helen Stierns of St. Cloud, MN.
Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, November 18th at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 6537 Industrial Rd, near Twig, MN, with the memorial service to follow at 11:00.
