LaVonne "Bonnie" J. Larson, age 79, of Saginaw, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2016, while surrounded by family at Mercy Hospital. She was born in Duluth on September 29, 1936, to Frank and Agnes Wilhelm. She grew up in the Hermantown area, and later moved with her family to the Saginaw area. She was well known for being a very hard worker, working on the farm, as a seamstress, and as a machine operator at Potlatch Paper Mill. After her retirement from the paper mill, she owned her own trophy company and delivered papers. LaVonne enjoyed traveling with her family to see all the lower 48 states, her grandchildren, and visiting with people. She was a member of the Labor Union and Paper Dolls. Lavonne is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Richard Wilhelm; and daughter-in-law, Nicki Larson. Lavonne is survived by her children, Cindy (Thomas) Collelo, Jacqueline (Kerry) Rud; Curtis (Cheryl) Larson; 9 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sister, Mary "Frances" Makitalo; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2016, at 1:00 PM at St. Raphael's Church in Hermantown with Father Kris McKusky officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 2, 2016, from 5-7:00 PM at Sunrise Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow the service at Sunrise Cemetery.
