Judith “Judy” Gail Larson, a devoted mother, doting grandmother, loyal friend, animal lover, and remarkable business woman of Duluth, MN passed away peacefully at age 82, on May 24, 2022 at the Benedictine Living Community.
Judy was born in Duluth to Donna and Howard Lindwall on November 1, 1939. She went to high school at Duluth Central and graduated in 1958. She went on to study at UMD, UMN, and Duluth Business University. She married Jim Larson on July 18, 1959 and they spent many years together attending UMD hockey games, hosting parties, golfing, and raising their son Todd. She worked in the drapery/design department for Beck’s Furniture for many years. Later, she started her own interior design business, Ambiance, and retired in 2010. Several years after Jim’s death, Judy reconnected with her old friend Jerry MacMillan and they enjoyed escaping the cold and traveling south in the winter. She enjoyed art, travel, reading, gardening, music, cross-word puzzles, and spending time with her family and friends.
Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Larson; and parents.
Judy is survived by her son, Todd (Jody) Larson; and grandchildren, Miranda (Nels) Torgrimson and Maycie Larson.
Visitation to be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, June 6th at Kenwood Lutheran Church, 2720 Myers Ave, Duluth, with Memorial service to follow at 11:00 AM.
