John “Howie” Howard Lundin, 83, of Duluth, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 20, 2021.
Howie was a quiet, strong man and kind to all. He especially enjoyed his Canadian fishing trips, where he could show you his secret fishing holes.
He owned and operated John Lundin Garbage Service with his wife until he retired in 1996. They moved to Arizona where they enjoyed many years of fun in the sun before moving back to Duluth to be close to family and friends.
Howie is survived by his wife, Barb; daughter, Cindy (Joel) Bergen; son, Jim (Kathy) Lundin; daughter, Darla (Dave) Tarnowski; step-son, Seth (Barb) Hammer; step-daughter, Leanna Hammer; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sisters, Donna Johnson and Janet Steinbach; along with many family members and friends.
