Jeanne Marie Dorothy

Jeanne Marie (Carlson) Dorothy, 56, of Hermantown passed away on September 5, 2021 in her home, surrounded by family. Jeanne was born on August 11, 1965 to Donald and Carol Carlson and was the youngest of nine children.

After graduating from Central High school in 1983, Jeanne moved to Pasadena, California where she earned her bachelor’s degree from Ambassador University. Jeanne married Creston Dorothy on April 2, 1989. She loved being a wife and mother, and she cherished spending time with her husband and watching her children grow.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Carol (Schumacher) Carlson.

Jeanne is survived by her husband of 32 years, Creston; daughters Charina, Brianna (Daniel) Hill, and Cambria; son, Creston Charles; siblings, Randy (Esther) Carlson, Bonnie (Phil) Baker, Donald II (Judy) Carlson, Laurie (Rick) Stepp, Steve (Nancy) Carlson, Dave (Michelle) Carlson, Jim (Kari) Carlson, and twin sister, Julie (Marty) Soukup; along with many adoring nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1 PM on Sunday, September 19th at the Buffalo House, 2590 Guss Rd. Duluth, MN 55810.
