Edna Hanke Obituary
Edna Hanke age 98, of Duluth passed away Saturday April, 20 2019 at Heritage Haven.
She was born on August 21, 1920 to Theodore and Anna Schultz in Duluth, MN. Edna graduated from Central High School in 1938. She married the love of her life Willard Hanke on September 7, 1946.
Edna worked as a banking officer at Duluth National Bank in West End, later US Bank and retired from there. Also, she quilted bedspreads and furniture upholstery for many, many years for the family business, Hanke Upholstery.
Edna enjoyed playing cards with family and friends, especially cribbage. She enjoyed boating for many years on their cabin cruiser "Eight Ball" with family and many friends from the Duluth Power Squadron. Later she enjoyed time spent at the resort on Pelican Lake.
Edna is preceded in death by her parents, and husband Willard in 1988.
She is survived by daughters Pam Dull(Russ Wigington) of Saginaw, MN and Candy Hart of Pequot Lakes, MN. Grandsons Derrick (Sue) Martin of Carencro, LA, Brian (Mary) Martin of Foxboro, WI, great-grandson Dallas from Carencro, LA brother Esley Schultz of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, one niece and three nephews.
Private Memorial Service to be held at a later date.
