Dale’s life ended as it was lived, surrounded by his loved ones.
Dale Frederick Carman, 74, of Duluth, MN passed away on October 8th, 2020 in the comforts of his home, after a brief battle with cancer.
Dale was born in Elmira, NY to Cora Genevieve (Porter) and Jesse James Carman on April 22, 1946. He went to Odessa Montour High School and graduated in 1966. He went on to serve 4 years in the Navy and 13 years in the US Air Force, ending service as a proud Veteran. After the service, he worked several jobs working with the public, which he loved. Dale’s hobbies included going to the casino, reading, Star Wars with his boys, and playing with his grandkids.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents; older brother, Herb Carman; and sisters, Dawn Matthews and Linda Crane.
Dale is survived by his wife, Dianne; daughters, Lisa (Jim) Degeberg and Robbie (Erick) Vollan; sons, Tim and Bryan Carman; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters, Diane LaCelle and Mary Wilcox; and several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Essentia Hospice, and a special thank you to Amanda, Kristi, Abbey, and Brandi.
Public visitation to be held at 3 pm on Wednesday, Oct. 14th at Sunrise Funeral Home, 4798 Miller Trunk Hwy, with private family service held prior. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
