Daisy Saunders Obituary

Daisy M. Saunders, formerly of Duluth, MN passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at the age of 103. Daisy was the second of four children born to William & Phennie Sanders of Savannah, Georgia. She moved to Duluth, MN in 1989, from New Kensington, PA to be closer to family after the passing of her husband. Daisy was a devout Christian and a former member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was friendly and outgoing, always helpful to others, and established strong and long lasting relationships with many residents at Pennel Park, fondly referred to as "Daisy's Devils". Following the passing of her son, Daisy relocated to the Phoenix area. Daisy was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son; and siblings. Daisy is survived by daughter-in-law, Irene Sanders; grandchildren, Barbara (William) McReynolds, Edward Jr. (Sophia) Sanders and Lyndia Sanders; great-grandchildren, KaMea (Michael Sr.) Hall, Kimberlee McReynolds, Jasmine Sanders and Evan Sanders; great-great grandchildren, Michael Hall Jr. and Anthony Hall. VISITATION: 12 p.m. Wednesday, April 19th at Sunrise Memorial 4798 Miller Trunk Hwy, Hermantown, with a Celebration of Life to follow at 1 p.m. Because of the wonderful care of Daisy and her family in her home at Orchard Point, the family is grateful for the condolences and would appreciate donations, in lieu of flowers, to be sent to Hospice of the Valley 1510 E. Flower Street Phoenix, AZ 85014.
