Connie Marie Erola of Hermantown, MN, passed away peacefully to be with her Lord on April 14, 2022.
She was born October 5, 1949 to Cliff and Anna Erickson in Deer River, MN.
Connie worked in Minneapolis, Mn for Northwestern Bell Telephone. In 1974 she married Raymond Erola and moved to Hermantown, MN where they purchased a home. She worked part time for the telephone company while raising their children Dan DuPay and Melissa Erola.
Connie loved staying busy, so she got a job at Target and worked as a pharmacy technician for just over 20 years before retiring. She made it a point to try and remember the customers names so she could greet each one personally.
She loved bird watching and gardening at home. She kept busy in her beautiful “angel garden” and “frog garden’s.” She bowled in several leagues and spent over 25 years bowling with her friend Vi at several state bowling events. She was also an avid pool and ping pong player and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Connie enjoyed her trips to Hawaii with her family and siblings. She also made many trips to Mazatlán, Mexico with her husband Ray, daughter Melissa and a few other friends. Time spent there in January and February took some of the bite out of the cold Minnesota winters.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents, sister’s Sharon, Kathy and Sandra.
Connie is survived by her husband Ray, daughter Melissa and son Dan; grandchildren Devyn and Avaya; great grandson Kingsley and many other relatives and dear friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Deer River where she was born.
A celebration of life will be held Thursday, May 5th at Grace Lutheran Church in Hermantown, MN: with the Visitation starting at 5PM.
