Charlene Carlson Obituary

Charlene Ann Carlson, 75, of Procter, MN, passed away on Nov. 17, 2021 at Solvay Hospice Home.

Charlene was born in Duluth, MN to Robert and Mary Woods on April 27, 1946. She went to Proctor High School and graduated in 1963. She loved playing slots at the casino, camping, the color blue, and listening to Elvis while she picnicked. Her beloved dogs were very special to Charlene and she was a devoted Christian. Charlene always had to stop at Kwik Trip for the cheesy spuds and mac-n-cheese. She was very involved with the American Red Cross and helping veterans. She had a heart of gold for her family, friends, and children.

Charlene was preceded in death by her husband (who was the apple of her eye), Robert; parents, Roberts and Mary Woods; brother, Ed Woods; and nephew, Matthew Woods.

Charlene is survived by her loving daughter, Monica (Aaron) Carlson; sister, Marie; brothers Mike, Bobbie and Stanley; many nieces and nephews; and best friends, Diane Wita, Roberta Wellik and Pat Larson.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Arnold’s Cafe, Chaplain Kathy, and the wonderful care from Solvay Hospice Home.

Visitation will be held at 12:30 PM on Monday, November 29, 2021 at Sunrise Funeral Home, 4798 Miller Trunk Hwy, with Memorial Service to follow at 1:30 PM.
