Alice Ruth Wilmot (Clark), 95, passed away peacefully, August 17, 2020 at Viewcrest Health Center in Duluth.
Alice was born in Warba, MN on July 17, 1925. She and her family moved to Duluth when she as 10 years old. She graduated from Denfeld HS in 1943 and moved temporarily to Chicago for the war industry. After the war she married Glenn, who also graduated Denfeld '43. She and Glenn raised a family of 3 children in Woodland and later in Hunter's Park. Alice was a Teacher's Aide at Emerson Elementary School for several years and then later, at Edgerton Elementary in Roseville, MN. On several occasions, she would purchase winter coats or mittens for children arriving at school in the wintertime inadequately clothed. Alice loved children and would play games with children at school and even in her neighborhood. She was also an avid doll collector, still owning one from her own childhood days. In retirement, Alice and Glenn were snowbirds living winters in Northport, FL from 1992 to 2010. Alice and Glenn were members and benefactors of Pike Lake Presbyterian Church in Duluth. In Duluth, they owned a small cabin on Shultz Lake just outside of Duluth.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Lynn Clark; all of her siblings; husband, Glenn in 2005; and oldest son, Jeffery in 1993.
Alice is survived by her son, Bradley of Las Vegas, NV; daughter, Carol Davidson of Elk River, MN; and grandson, Michael of Juneau, AK.
At her request, no formal services will be held. A brief time of remembrance will occur at Sunrise Memorial Park Cemetery on Friday, September 4th at 2 pm for family and close friends.
