IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Yvonne Marlene
(Larsen) Schneider
October 17, 1939 – September 25, 2024
Yvonne Marlene (Larsen) Schneider, 84, of Duluth, passed away at home on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 surrounded by her family. She was born in Duluth to Lloyd E. and Loretta Della (LaTondress) Larsen on October 17, 1939.
Yvonne grew up in Duluth and has always loved Minnesota. She was a member of the Scenic City Snowdrifters and the Owls Club. During her early years, she enjoyed her bowling league, her coffee group, crafting, and camping. She spent the last 25 years traveling across the United States with her husband Bill. Eventually moving into their RV full-time, spending summers in Minnesota and winters in Laughlin, NV, their home away from home.
Yvonne would greet you with a warm smile and a hug. To the world she will be remembered as the life of the party, and to her family she will be remembered as the bravest woman we know, who loved you ferociously and unconditionally.
Yvonne would say, do not cry for me now that I am gone, I have lived a good life. We will remember her doing puzzles and dancing to Elvis.
Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents; in-laws, Justin and Lily Schneider; son-in-law, William Didrikson; daughter-in-law, Sue Brose; and granddaughter, Magen Schneider.
Yvonne is survived by her husband of 59 years, William Schneider; children, Fred (Cate), Loretta, Joseph, Dora (Boone), and Yvette; 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Roger Larsen; and nieces, nephews, and other family.
The family would like to express a special thanks to the Essentia Health Hospice team.
Please join in celebrating her extraordinary life at 5:00 PM on Saturday, October 19th, at the American Legion Post 71, 5814 Grand Ave, Duluth, MN.
