William "Bill" "Papa" Campbell, 92, of Duluth, MN, passed away at home on December 30, 2023 with his family by his side.

Bill was born in Ranshaw, PA to Charles and Frances (Perkowski) Campbell on May 24, 1931. He graduated from Shamokin (PA) High School in 1949 and served in the US Air Force from 1950-1970. After retirement from the Air Force, he "worked" at UMD until his retirement in 1996.

Bill was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 55 years, Norma; 4 sisters; and 4 brothers.

Bill is survived by his children, Mark (Mary) Campbell and Julia (Roger) Worthing; grandchildren, Jessica (Jason) Brisbin, Melissa (Dan) Sertich, Brandon (Brandi) Worthing, and Jordan Campbell; great-grandchildren, Addison (Russell Anderson) and Isaak Sertich, Owen and Avery Brisbin, and Lydia and Zayla Worthing; and many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Essentia Health Hospice for their outstanding care and support, especially Brandy, Noël, Cindy, Tim and Dan.

Visitation will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 13th at Sunrise Funeral Home, 4798 Miller Trunk Hwy, with Memorial Service to follow at 12:00 PM. Entombment with Norma at Sunrise Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the DAV in Bill's honor.
