Wesley "Wes" Uno Saline, age 69, of Duluth, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 10, 2017, at Solvay Hospice House in Duluth. Wes was born in Duluth in 1948 to Uno and Bernadine (Nelson) Saline. Wes is a 1966 graduate of Duluth East, was honorably discharged from the U.S. Coast Guard in 1981 after 12 years of service, and retired from ironworking in 2003 after 30 years. After retiring, he became an honorary lifetime member of the Ironworkers Union. Wes loved being outdoors, especially to hunt, fish, and spend time at his "hunting shack." He also loved spending time with his family. Wes was a loving, generous man with a kind soul, amazing personality, and great sense of humor. Wes is preceded in death by his parents, Uno and Bernadine Saline. Wes is survived by his daughter, Janel (Bobby) Downer; son, Logan (Jessica) Saline; and his three loving grandchildren, Gavin, Jasmin, and Anders. He is also survived by his brother, Gary (Valerie) Saline.
