Warren E. Berg, 73, of Hermantown, passed away on Friday March 21, 2014 at Essentia Health, St. Mary's Hospital. He was born in Duluth, MN to Melvin and Norma Berg. Warren graduated from Duluth East High School where he was captain of the football team. He worked at U.S. Steel, Duluth Typewriter, A & E Supply, Northern Business Products, and was a founding member and partner in Duluth Scientific. Warren helped in the annexation of Hermantown from the City of Duluth; he served on the Hermantown City Council for 17 years and was a past City Council President. Warren also helped found the Boys & Girls Club of Duluth, was past president of the Executive Board, and was a lifetime Board Member. Warren was a hobby farm enthusiast, amateur plumber and roofer, avid outdoorsman, fitness enthusiast, and enjoyed playing golf. Warren was preceded in death by his wife Carol Anne Holte, and his parents. Warren is survived by his children Lisa (Lars Kuehnow), and Pete (Connie), and his grandchildren Ricky, Danny, Robbie, and Joey. Warren is also survived by special friend Carol Lynne Maynard, her children & grandchildren and his brother John.
