Violet H. Wiita, age 80 of Duluth, passed away on March 19, 2016 while surrounded by family at St. Luke's Hospice. She was born on October 27, 1935, to Clarence and Lillian (Tapa) Colden in Thief River Falls, MN. She was united in marriage to Albert R. Wiita. Violet worked most of her life in the dietary department of Miller-Dwan, retiring in 1998. She enjoyed gardening, animals, and spending time with friends and family. Violet is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Albert; brother, Vernon Colden; and sister, Viola Flewell. Violet is survived by step-children, Kim, Dale, John, and Ronald; nieces and nephews, Cheryl, Darla, Darwin, Debbie, Mike, Theresa, and Anna; and grandchildren.
