Verna L. Louze, 87, of Weslaco, TX, formerly of Duluth, MN, died unexpectedly on July 7, 2018. She was born November 1, 1930, in Barnes County, ND, to John and Elizabeth Christ. Verna was employed by Northern Business Products for 30 years while living in Duluth. She enjoyed watching sports on tv, cheering on her Minnesota Twins. She was a true lover of all animals. Verna was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Don Kubis; second husband, Lloyd Louze; and final companion, Roger Gallea. Verna is survived by her children, Sharon Kubis Tucek of Eagle River, WI, Gene (Brenda) Kubis, of Esko, MN, and Debbie (Greg Fuller) Hobbs of Duluth, MN; grandchildren, Brandon, Brent and Christopher Kubis, Heather, Steve, Michelle and Sean (Nicole) Hobbs; great-grandson, Matteo Hobbs; sister, Marian Smith of Weslaco, TX; and her beloved dog, Mikey. Her children wish to thank the wonderful people of Leisure World Park in Weslaco, TX. You were so good to her, and she loved you all. VISITATION: 11am on Friday, August 3rd at Sunrise Funeral Home, 4798 Miller Trunk Hwy, Hermantown, MN, with memorial service to follow at 12pm. Inurnment at Sunrise Memorial Park Cemetery.
