Timothy Patrick O'Reilly, age 62, passed away on August 18, 2026 at North Shore Estates in Duluth after a brief illness. The family wishes to thank Essentia Health and their ICU staff for their exceptional care.
Tim was born in Hibbing, MN, to Jackie and Terry O’Reilly on March 15, 1964. He graduated from Hibbing High School in 1982 and attended Hibbing Community College.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Jackie and Terry; maternal grandparents, Ellen and Curtis Johnson; and paternal grandparents, Grace and Don O'Reilly.
Tim is survived by his sister Karen (Duane) Bosiacki; Duane's sons, Alan (Britteny) and Kirk; Kirk's sons, Maddox and Kohl; as well as many extended family and friends.
Tim loved and cherished his family and friends, spending time with them at picnics and holidays. He was also very fond of his work family. He always looked forward to and enjoyed their birthday get togethers. He was employed at ClearResult and excelled at customer service. He loved singing karaoke at any given time and could belt out his favorite Frank Sinatra tunes anywhere. Theater meant the world to him and he was involved in numerous plays from junior high and throughout high school. He had a talent for being an accomplished character actor and was involved in many Hibbing Community College productions as well. He was proud to be cast in the plays of The Kentucky Cycle, Cabaret, Tommy, and Blues Brothers among many others in Hibbing. He played the role of Henry Higgins in My Fair Lady in Virginia. He enjoyed both classic movies and television and was a huge Beatles fan. He loved attending shows at Chanhassen and the Guthrie Theater with his family. He always maintained a very happy-go-lucky outlook throughout his life and had a genuine love for everyone. He will truly be missed by his family and friends beyond words.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 29th at Sunrise Funeral Home, 4798 Miller Trunk Hwy, with visitation at 11:00 AM, memorial service at 12:00 PM and reception to follow.
