Thomas Michael Blazejak, 82, of Proctor, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories and a family who loved him dearly.
Tom was born on December 22, 1943. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy aboard the USS Yancey (AKA-93), an experience that remained an important part of his life and personal history.
Tom found joy in life's simple pleasures. He loved spending time at the cabin, hunting and fishing, bicycling, and taking road trips. He was known for his handyman skills and could often be found fixing, building, or tinkering with something. He enjoyed gathering at the mall with friends for coffee club, taking a well-earned afternoon nap, and playing video games. He especially enjoyed a hearty bowl of traditional Polish duck soup, czarnina.
A loyal sports fan, Tom rarely missed NASCAR races and faithfully cheered for the Minnesota Vikings. His sense of humor, practical nature, and appreciation for time spent with family and friends made him someone people enjoyed being around.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, John and Vi (Gracek) Blazejak; and brother, James “Jimmy” Blazejak.
Tom is survived by his beloved wife, Joanne Blazejak; children, Laurie Blazejak and Michael Blazejak; brother, Steve (Jennifer) Blazejak; along with many extended family members and friends who will miss him greatly.
Tom's legacy lives on in the many memories shared by those who knew and loved him. He will be remembered for his service, his dedication to family, his willingness to lend a helping hand, and the joy he found in everyday moments.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Essentia Health staff of Floor 18 for their exceptional care of Tom.
