Ted was a hardworking and selfless man; he spent his life ensuring his family was cared for, often expressing love through action rather than words. In his final chapter, his gentle heart, quick wit, and infectious laugh shone brightly, surrounded by the love of those who cherished him deeply.

Theodore "Ted" Spencer, 79, of Duluth, Minnesota, passed away on March 23, 2026.

He was born in Barnum, Minnesota, to William and Ellen Spencer on August 4th, 1946. He graduated from Central High School in 1964. He earned his welding certificate from the Salter Vocational School. He retired from Northland Constructors in 2008 as a welder and fabricator. He enjoyed working in his garage, welding and machining.

Ted was preceded in death by his parents, William and Ellen; and brothers, Dale, Patrick, and Terry.

Ted is survived by his wife, Faye; children, Shannon Misner, Sean, and Shane; grandchildren, Christina, Ashley, Shaylyn, and Skylar; and great-grandchildren, Raydin, Lelyn Guy, and Ryder; and brother, Tom.

A private committal and burial will be held at Sunrise Memorial Park Cemetery, 4798 Miller Truck Highway, Hermantown, on Thursday, March 26th. A public Celebration of Life will be held from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM on Saturday, March 28th at Sunrise Funeral Home, 4798 Miller Truck Highway, Hermantown.
