Terrance "Terry" James Thomas (a.k.a. "Papa" and "Unkie"), 76, of Duluth, passed away on Friday, Nov. 29, 2019, in his home with his family by his side. Terry was born in Duluth on June 6, 1943 to Wallace and Elevera Thomas. Terry worked for the MnDOT highway department for 48 years as a Transportation Specialist. He enjoyed playing hockey, softball, bowling, and watching NASCAR and football. Terry was preceded in death by his father, Wallace Thomas. Terry is survived by his wife, Andrea; mother, Elevera Thomas; sons, Shane (Amy) Thomas, Deems Thomas, and Bradley MacDonald; step-children, Ron Anderson, Jason (Leah) Anderson, Melissa Anderson, and daughter-in-law, Tiffany Anderson; grandchildren, Tara (Hiekki) Saukko, Julie (Jamie) Borgeson, Jodi Thomas, Joseph Thomas, Leilani Thomas, Jake Anderson, Morgan Anderson, and Damon Anderson; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Brian Thomas and Jamie (Lisa Walkowiak) Thomas; and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at 10 am on Saturday, Dec. 14th at Forbes United Methodist Church, 33 Grove St, Proctor, with memorial service to follow at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Mutty Trails Pet Boarding, 398 Freeman Rd, Cloquet.
