Susan K. Thompson passed away to be with her Lord, Sunday, January 25, 2015 at St. Luke's hospice center after a lengthy illness. She is finally at peace. Suse was born on January 8, 1958 to beautiful parents, Jack and Olene Holt. Always very smart and studious, in 1976 she was voted Honor Queen at Denfeld High School. Suse met the love of her life, Jeff and they were married on December 1, 1979 and celebrated 35 years of marriage together. Her son, Kyle however quickly became her most prized possession and the two had a most beautiful and inseparable bond. Her love of her many gardens, her infectious, warming smile and her sense of fun and humor are treasures of her that will be most missed. She loved her trips to Puerto Vallarata, Greg and Sue's lake place, her fall Brainerd get-aways, and the many years of sharing a cabin with her parents on Pokegama Lake. Suse was a member of two different churches through the years she loved her Lord. She was preceded in death by her mother and father. Suse will be so missed by her husband, Jeff, son Kyle and Kyle's fiance, Lindsey, Minneapolis. A sister, Nancy King (Jim), Watertown, NY, brothers, Mark (Julie) of Champlin MN, Paul (Kristine) of Duluth and John, (Jan) also of Duluth. Many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Christ Lutheran Church, 2415 Ensign St. Duluth.
