IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Stefano "Steve"
"Paco" Pavcovich
August 8, 1946 – June 14, 2022
Stefano "Steve" "Paco" Pavcovich, 75, of Solon Springs, WI and St. James City, FL passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at Essentia Miller Dwan in Duluth.
Born in Foggia, Italy, Steve emigrated with his family when he was ten years old. The firstborn of seven children, Steve was a beloved brother, uncle, husband, father, and a strong, loving grandfather. He served in Vietnam, loved fishing the Great Lakes, good food and great music, and made an excellent Brandy Manhattan.
We loved him so, and will miss his strength and guidance fiercely.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, John Pavcovich in 1991 and Nicoletta Pavcovich in 2016; and sisters, Elizabeth Pavcovich in 1974 and Ann Pavcovich in 2010.
Steve is survived by his wife of fifty years, Barbara; daughter Tiffany (Andrew) Smith of Texarkana, TX; son, Patrick Michael (Cheryl Lee) Pavcovich of Redwing, MN; and joyfully cherished grandchildren, Reye Diva Nicole Robinson of Portland, OR, Cami Lucille Drift of St Paul, MN, Andrew Van Smith IV and Asher Van Smith, of Texarkana, TX, Riley J Pavcovich and Zaiden Orion Helmstetter of Redwing, MN.
His sisters, Maria (Randy, lost to us in 2021) Lindell of Grand Rapids, MN, and Rosa (Richard) Noffsinger of Duluth, MN; and brothers, Giuseppe "Joe" Pavcovich (Mary Celski) of White Bear Lake, MN, and Vincent "Vinnie" Pavcovich of Elizabethtown, KY, held special places in his heart that only siblings understand.
A special goodbye to Steve's nieces and nephews, Michelle and Chad, David and Lisa, Kevin and Nicolas, William and Kelly Rae, Tressie and Katie, Emily, Amanda and Eric, Timothy, Bryan, and Jamie; and to all the good friends, dinner companions, and fishing buddies with whom Steve created the magic of his wonderful life.
Service details pending.
"Miss Me, But Let Me Go" by Christina Rossetti
When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me
I want no rites in a gloom-filled room.
Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little–but not too long
And not with your head bowed low.
Remember the love that we once shared,
Miss me–but let me go.
For this is a journey that we all must take
And each must go alone.
It's all a part of the Master's plan,
A step on the road to home.
When you are lonely and sick of heart
Go to the friends we know
And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds.
Miss Me–But Let me Go!
