Stacey Allison Swaney, 42, of Duluth MN, passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth. Stacey was born in Hartford Connecticut to Donald Allan Hill and Darlene Susan Nash on July 11th 1976. She went to high school at White Bear Lake High School-South Campus and graduated in 1994. She went on to earn a certificate in Phlebotomy from Hennepin Technical College. She worked as a Phlebotomist for St. Mary's and CSL Plasma for many years. After Stacey took time off to have her last child, she enrolled in the Aviation Maintenance Program at The Lake Superior Center for Advanced Aviation, where she was a student a year and a half before finding out she was sick. Stacey is survived her life partner, Chris Chandler; children, Max, Marcus, Ana and Bo; step-children, Amanda, Brandon, Josh and Andrew; father, Donald Allan Hill; mother, Darlene Nash; step-mother, Cindy Lee Allen; siblings, Jordan Nash, Lindsay Nash, Jennifer Hill, Amber Phillips, Tony Allen, Melissa Allen, Vanessa Allen, Evelyn Allen, Nichole Allen, and Nadine Allen; and many beloved nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Peggy Anderson and The Circle of Hope for all of their love, advice, and financial support, and to all of the staff at St. Mary's Oncology, ER, and Hospital for giving us access to everything they had to battle her cancer, and for the excellent care and support we received through the long two year battle. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 25th at 10 am at Water's Edge Community Church, 2202 W. 3rd St., with memorial service to follow at 11 am. Sunrise Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements.
