Sophie Louis Maki, 100 of Duluth passed away peacefully with her daughter by her side. Sunday April 19, 2015. Sophie was born in Kenney, MN on August 14, 1914 to Mike and Lucele Vukelich. Her husband , John, passed away December 2000, her grand daughter Kim Maki, passed away may 2012. Sophie is survived by her children Philip Maki, Kenneth Maki, and Paulette Maki, all of Duluth, Mn, sister Anne Oikari of Grand Rapids, MN; four grand children, three great grand children, three nieces; four nephews; and many friends. A special thanks to Chris Jensen Health and Rehab for the wonderful care give to Sophie, as well as all the staff of Birch Wing.
