Shirley Christensen Alvarez, 80, formerly of Duluth, MN, passed away on November 8, 2016, in Denver, CO. She was born on June 27, 1936, in Duluth. In 1954, she graduated from Denfeld High School. In 1952, she worked at A&W Root Beer drive-in. She then moved to Florida in 1957, and worked there until 1963, and at that time moved to Denver, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill & Ruth; and her brother, Bob. She is survived by her son, Mario; granddaughter, Ashley; great-granddaughter, Leilani; sister-in-law, Diane Christensen; significant other, Norman Russ Anderson; his daughter, Nanette (Shawn) Higgins and their three children; and many cousins and friends.
