Sharon Elaine Swenson, 68, of Duluth MN, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at St. Luke's Hospital. Sharon was born in Duluth to Wallace and Ardith Carey on November 21, 1950. She went to high school at Old Central High School and graduated in 1968. She went on to earn a degree in accounting from Vo-Tech. She worked as an accountant for Ram Mutual Insurance Company for 30 years. She enjoyed doing puzzles, making jewelry, and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed spending time with her 3 dogs and many other animals over the years. She loved going to church every Sunday with her mother and son. Sharon was preceded in death by her father, Wallace Carey. Sharon is survived by her only son, Mark Swenson; mother, Ardith Carey; brothers, Ronald and Cliff Carey; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 21st at 1 pm at Sunrise Funeral Home, 4798 Miller Trunk Hwy, with memorial service to follow at 2 pm.
