Sharlene Therese
Letchworth
August 16, 1939 – March 20, 2026
Sharlene Letchworth went home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 20, 2026. A woman of profound and unwavering faith, she lived her life as a testament to the grace she found in the Gospel. She is now joyfully reunited in Heaven with the love of her life, George Letchworth, and her beloved daughter, Audra Padilla, who was taken too soon.
While her heart was firmly rooted in her faith, her spirit was made to wander. She achieved the remarkable milestone of visiting all 50 U.S. states and traveled extensively abroad. Yet, her greatest journeys were those of the heart. As a foster parent, she opened not only her home but her soul to more than 200 children, offering each one safety, stability, and unconditional love.
To her family, she was a guiding light. From hosting unforgettable Easter egg hunts to welcoming loved ones into her home for large, joy-filled Christmas gatherings, she found her greatest happiness in bringing people together. Her favorite place was the family cabin, where summers were spent teaching younger generations the importance of nature, rest, and the strength of family bonds.
She is lovingly survived by her children, who carry forward her strength and values; her 20 grandchildren, who were her pride and joy; and her 21 great-grandchildren, who will grow up hearing the stories of her extraordinary life and legacy.
“Well done, good and faithful servant.” – Matthew 25:23
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
