Sarah Thompson-Montgomery, daughter of the late William Sylvera and Eunice Thompson, was born in St Catherine, Jamaica on February 17, 1940. She was called home to be with her heavenly father on October 7, 2022.

Sarah immigrated to London, England about 1960 where she lived with her sister, Daphne.

Gloria met her first husband, Charles S. Durham in London. On September 24, 1966 they married in Bedfordshire, England. Charles and Gloria were fortunate enough to travel all over the world. They adopted their son Charles A. Durham in the Philippines.

Gloria's second marriage was to Air Force sweetheart, David Montgomery in Calvert County, Maryland, USA on March 15, 2003.

So much can be said about this little dynamo who lived life to the fullest. She was a friend, but earned respect; generous, but knew how to save for a rainy day; and kind, but not weak. She was a champion for anyone who had the pleasure of receiving her love. She loved golf, bingo and playing slots at the casino.

Sarah was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ivy Thompson; and brothers, Richard and Fitzroy Thompson.

She will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate enough to experience her glow, especially her soul mate and husband, David, her son Charles A. Durham,, siblings, Daphne Thompson-King, Margarita Thompson, Alice Thompson, Albert Thompson and Daniel Thompson; nieces and nephews; as well as an array of family and friends.

Visitation to be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 29th at Sunrise Funeral Home, 4798 Miller Trunk Hwy, with Memorial Service at 12:00 PM. Interment at Sunrise Memorial Park Cemetery.
