Sally Anne VanReese, 72, passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2018 at Viewcrest Health Center from Calciphylaxis. She was born in Cresson, PA on February 3, 1946 to Russell and Anne Baird. She graduated from White Pine High School in White Pine, MI, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics at Northern Michigan University in Marquette, MI. She retired from St. Louis County Social Services in Duluth. Sally and her husband, Richard, were married in 1980 and enjoyed 38 years together. Her favorite activities were camping and travelling to Wis. Dells and Nashville and travelling with their friends in the Good Sam Camping Club. Sally was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Russell. Sally is survived by her husband, Richard; step-children, Jeff (Cindy) and Gary (Terri); step-grandchildren, Brandon, Tyler, Sara, Dan, Alissa, and Kaylee; brothers, James (Kim) and Richard (Kareen); and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Viewcrest Health Center and Essentia Hospice for the loving care they provided. VISITATION: 11am on Friday, June 29th at Sunrise Funeral Home, 4798 Miller Trunk Hwy, with memorial service to follow at noon. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Animal Allies Humane Society, 4006 Airport Rd, Duluth, MN.
