Ryan James Kastel, 38, passed away at his home in Fergus Falls, MN on June 20, 2024.

Ryan was born on May 9, 1986 in Iowa City, IA to Jim and Lori (Lewis) Kastel. He attended school in Irving TX, Sanger TX and Hermantown MN. Ryan graduated from Hermantown High School in 2004. He attended Lake Superior College for Auto Body Tech and Universal Technical Institute for Automotive Technologies in Texas, where he graduated with honors. Ryan loved cars, airplanes, and playing the drums.

Ryan was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jim and Elaine McMann; paternal grandfather, James Lee Kastel; and uncle, Loren Lewis.

Ryan is survived by his father, Jim Kastel of Sanger, TX; mother, Lori Kastel of Fergus Falls, MN; stepmother, Angela Kastel of Sanger, TX; brothers, Matt Kastel of Shakopee, MN and Ben Kastel of Denton, TX; stepsisters, Micaela Minner of Ohio and Danielle Minner of Los Angeles, CA; aunts, Balinda Bailey and Wendy Lewis; and various nieces and nephews.

Graveside committal service is scheduled for 1:00 PM on Wednesday, July 17th at Sunrise Memorial Park Cemetery in Hermantown.

He will be sorely missed by the lives he touched.
