ALS took his life, but he lived to the end with the good humor you remember.
Ronald Dean Perkins, 58, of Saginaw, MN, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2017, at Essentia Health St. Mary's.
Ron was born in Duluth to George & Violet Perkins on January 27, 1959. He grew up in Hermantown and loved playing hockey for the Hermantown Hawks. His career was a Service Tech for Duluth Type and Business Furniture.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Duane.
Ron is survived by his loving wife of ten years, Shelly; daughters, Crystal (Drew) and Lindsey (Eric); Shelly's daughters, Stephanie and Diane (Tim); six grandchildren, Evan, Ashton, Coleton, Autumn, Marbella, Ryan, and one on the way; brothers, Dale, Bruce, and Keith (Gail), who was not only his brother but best buddy; sister, Bobbi (Mike); and constant dog companion, Kalua.
When you think of Ron, remember his blue eyes, his distinctive laugh, and how much he liked to tease.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 22nd at 1pm at Sunrise Funeral Home, 4798 Miller Trunk Hwy, with Memorial service to follow at 2pm.
