Roger John McLean, 80, of Duluth, died Sunday July 7, 2013 with his loving family by his side. He was born in Hibbing, MN on August 3, 1932. He graduated from Hibbing High School in 1950 and from UMD in 1960. After serving in the Army, Roger worked for Shell Oil Co.. He moved to Duluth in 1993. Roger restored and collected classic cars, especially anything that was a Chrysler product. He was a member of numerous car clubs including the local Antique Auto Association, Duluth. He was a former member of the Lester Park Red Cap Golfers. The family wishes to give a special Thank You to the caring and kind staff at Diamond Willow, Lakeshore and Keystone Bluffs. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Thelma McLean, and a sister Barbara. He is survived by sons Brad (Carol Draddy) McLean of Hibbing, Bryan (Georgette) McLean of CA, Stacey (John) Gates of St. Louis, MO, grandchildren Kyle McLean, Devin, Dylan, and Isabel Gates, sister Patricia Fisk of Duluth, longtime companion Marian Sundal of Duluth, nieces and a nephew Kim, Deb, Sharon, Pam, and Ross and their families.
