Obituary

Roger R. Lonetto, 65, of Duluth, died on Saturday June 15, 2013 at Bayshore Health Center.  He was born in Duluth to Orlando "Lex" and Viola (Witt) Lonetto on December 19, 1947.  Roger received his GED in the Navy, later graduating from DBU as a Junior Accountant. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving in Vietnam as a "River Rat", as well as spending many years in the Army Reserve. Volunteering at the Carlton VFW, Carlton Honor Guard, Duluth VFW, the Food Shelf, Asbury UMC, and the Duluth Combined Honor Guard, he gave of his time freely. Roger was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Paul. Roger is survived by his wife Carol (Rodenbo), daughters Tania (Tim) Forseth of LaPorte, MN, and Robyn (Gordy) Bodin of Duluth, step-daughters Jennifer (Josh) Gutowski of Duluth, and Teresa (John) Danielson of Nashville, TN, sister Linda (Tom) Keppers of Duluth, fourteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, three nephews, one niece and their children, and several cousins. The family wishes to extend a special Thank You to the staff at Bayshore for their kind and compassionate care. Visitation will be held on Saturday June 22, 2013 from Noon until the 1:00PM Funeral Service at Sunrise Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Duluth Combined Honor Guard or the Activities Department at Bayshore. Military Honors will be Accorded by the Duluth Combined Honor Guard.
