Obituary

Robert "Bob" Busch, 77 of Hermantown died November 23, 2015 in Essentia Hospital. Born October 16, 1938 to Ellen & Otto Busch, he was a life-long resident of Hermantown. He graduated from Hermantown High School in 1956 and worked at the Duluth News Tribune until his retirement in 1998.   Bob's passion was his farm, raising beef cattle until his death. He loved the outdoors, and could be seen sitting in his favorite chair looking out over the fields and watching the birds at the many feeders that he provided. They were never empty and even the squirrels managed to get their share. He took pride in his farm machinery, especially the Case tractor that his dad bought new in 1951 and still "runs like a top." He was a member of the Hermantown Historical Society, and enjoyed being involved with all of their activities. Bob was preceeded in death by his parents, brother Jack Wargin and sister Marge Roger. He is survived by his wife, Claudia, daughter Dana Quast, and sons Gary (Linda), Chris (Natalie) and Duane, six grandchildren, Sarah Mozak, Laura Quast, Garrett Busch, Matt (Megan) Hanson, Kathrine and Nolan Busch, two great grandchildren, Maybree and Malloryn Hanson. A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 30th, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Sunrise Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at a later date.
