Robert "Bob" John Lynch passed away Sunday, December 11th, 2016 at Essentia Hospital in Duluth. He was born on March 8th, 1928 to John H. & Mable J. (McDonald) Lynch in Carlton, MN. Bob Graduated from Duluth Central High School. Attended Hursh Business College, served in the US Navy, and was stationed in Guam 1946-1948. He was united in marriage to June (Kotka) Lynch in 1952. He was employed at the DM&IR Railroad for 42 years, retiring in 1990. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was a member of the American Legion Post 71, was a HAM Radio operator, and a member of the ARRL. Bob enjoyed dancing, camping with the family, motorcycling, wood working & carving, playing the harmonica, and loved country music. Bob is preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Ruth LaDean and Laura Landry. He is survived by his wife, June; children, Craig (Donna) Lynch, Pamela (Evan) Beck, John (Tiffany) Lynch, James (Wendy) Lynch, and Molly (Dan) Kenning; grandchildren, Alex (Shaun) Jakeman, Joshua (Ariel) Lynch, Kristie (Greg) Hill, Jeff (Deb) Beck, Dustin Beck, Brandon (Teisha) Beck, Trevor Beck, Zoey Lynch, Adam Lynch, Noah Lynch, Justin Lynch, Harrison (Kendra) Kenning, Jacob Kenning, Grant Kenning, and Kimball Kenning; great-grandchildren, Lilyanne Jakeman, Eli Jakeman, Aiden Jakeman, Alyssa Hill, Tyler Hill, Ryan Hill, Dylan Hill, and James Kenning. VISITATION: 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, with a funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 521 Upham Rd, Duluth.
