Richard Lee Tinley, CMSGT, USAF (retired), 82, of Duluth, MN passed away peacefully with family at his side on July 15, 2024 at Benedictine Health Care. He was born on May 1, 1942 in Radford, VA to Virginia and Bruce Tinley.

Richard very proudly served in the USAF for 30 years and received numerous medals and honors.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jim.

Richard is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Diane (Page); sons, Richard and Rory of Tacoma, WA; brother, Robert of Radford, VA; beloved siblings-in-law, Gary Page, David Page, Mary (Ken) Cusick and Joanne Page; and much-loved nephews and nieces, Cullen (Andrea), Corey, Emily Cusick and Ryin Lowell.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at the Benedictine Adult Day Services and Benedictine Hospice Care in assisting Richard in his journey through the "Long Goodbye". You are all a blessing and thank you will never be enough.

Memorial service with Military Honors to be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 27th at Sunrise Funeral Home, 4798 Miller Trunk Hwy, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Richard's honor to Animal Allies, 4006 Airport Rd, or the Benedictine Health Center, 925 Kenwood Ave.
