Randy Joe Childs, 59, of Duluth, passed away at his home on April 11, 2021 after a brief battle with cancer.

Born on October 21, 1961 in Duluth, MN to John (Jack) and Karen Childs.

Randy grew up in the Duluth Heights neighborhood and graduated from Central High School in 1980. Randy remained in Duluth and worked under the carpenters Union for many years. He helped build his family's home and remodeled many others. Throughout life Randy enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as spending time at "the farm". Randy was a dedicated and loving son, brother, uncle, and friend who always took care of others. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Childs.

Randy is survived by his mother, Karen Childs; brother, Rodger (Cindy) Childs; sisters, Robin (Doug) Peterson and Renee (Dave) Bartlam; nieces, Stephanie (Jeff) Vodicka, Tanya (Seth) Childs, Katie (Ross) Peterson, Becky (Mike) Scott, and Chelsae (Jordan) Kalm; nephews, Jack and Brett Bartlam; as well as great-nieces and nephews, Alexis, Kasetin, Violet, Ryland, Jade, Jaelynn, Paityn, Liam, Grant, Reddington, Charlotte, McKenzie, Winnie and one more on the way.

A funeral will be held at Mount of Olives Baptist Church at 2:00 pm on Friday, April 16th. Visitation from 1:00-2:00.
