Obituary

Our Sunshine, Rollie, was born the 9th of 10 children to Emelia & Frank Postal. He passed away from dementia at 67 years old while in the care of his wonderful foster family, Mike Latimore & Candi Broeffle.

Rollie lived at home until 1993, then lived with sister Jerry and brother-in-law Ted until 2006. His final home was with foster care parents Candi Broeffle (Candi-bar) and Mike Latimore (Nice Mike).

He graduated from Cloquet Schools in 1978 then attended Pinewood Inc. for 35 years, "retiring" in 2013. His favorite job at Pinewood was document shredding. Every paycheck was given to his current guardian with the demand that it immediately be spent on pizza or his favorite treat, an Ice Cream Cone.

Rollie loved music and playing with music boxes. Some of his best friends were Elmo and the other Sesame Street characters, and he especially liked The Addams Family and Hee Haw. Other favorite past times included spending time with family, playing 45rpm records (usually the same one over and over and over and over again), moving furniture at each house he visited, teaching every one's dog to "woof, woof", and making up nicknames for his favorite people.

Rollie was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jackie Diedrich; brother-in-law, Hap Diedrich; sister-in-law, Alice Postal; brother-in-law, Ted Beckwith; brother, Reggie Postal; sister, Joellen Carroll; and brother, Ray Postal.

Rollie is survived by his sisters, Jerry Beckwith and Jocelyn (Jay) Sharpe; brothers, Roger "Bud" Postal, Bob (Myrna) Postal, and Dick (Pat) Postal; sister-in-law, Cathi Postal; and dozens of nieces and nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews; cousins; and foster siblings and friends.

Visitation to be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 8th at Sunrise Funeral Home, 4798 Miller Trunk Hwy, with Funeral Service at 11:00 AM and reception to follow. Interment at the Polish Catholic Cemetery with his parents.
