Phyllis Mary Gorny, 88, of Duluth, passed away on Friday, February 22, 2019 in Chris Jensen Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Duluth to Theodore and Leona Bielli on August 12, 1930. She lived a full and accomplished life. She taught us that hard work, putting family first, and just doing the right thing, everything works out. She found joy and comfort in art from knitting, crocheting, embroidery, quilting, painting and wood carving. She loved to put humor into her carvings and also capture the sweet side of life. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, John "Jack" who just passed in Sept. 2018; children, James Patrick Harney, Bridget Richardson and infant, Michael Harney; and sister, Mary Jo. Phyllis is survived by children, Dennis (Jan) Harney and Virginia (Dan) Nutter; grandchildren, Leona, Katie, James, Vanessa, Anthony, Dana and Kory; great-grandchildren, Anthony, Nathan, Hayden and Wyatt; siblings, Theodore "Bud", Linda and Steve; and many nieces and nephews. Her family wishes her Godspeed and rest. Private graveside service to be held at a later date.
