Owen John Beatty, 90, passed away on November 21, 2023, in Chandler, AZ.

Owen was born in Orr, Minnesota in 1933 to Father Leslie (Forest Ranger) and Martha (Nurse). His family relocated to Duluth where he attended high school lettering in basketball and football and met the love of his life, Bette Jean Anderson. After college, he and Bette settled in St. Paul, MN where they raised their three children. Owen's early career was with the City of St. Paul in the lighting department. He later joined the prestigious engineering firm of Toltz, King, Duvall, Anderson & associates (TKDA). Owen was a life-long athlete and outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, boating, and golf. Owen built a rustic cabin by hand on the Minnesota border with Canada. Many summer weekends were spent enjoying the beauty of that area. He will be fondly remembered for his good nature and sense of humor.

Owen was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years, Bette.

Owen is survived by his children, Sandra (Dan Panzer), Linda (Richard Kloc) and Scott; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and siblings, Leslie Beatty and Virginia Clifford.

Celebration of Life is planned for early summer next year in his beloved Crane Lake, MN. He will be laid to rest at Sunrise Memorial Park Cemetery in Hermantown, MN.
